How do I choose the correct LED power supply?
Match the output voltage of the power supply to the LED product and calculate the total wattage of the connected lights. Select a unit with sufficient capacity for the complete system.
How do I calculate the required wattage?
Add the rated wattage of all connected LED products to determine the total load. For example, if a lighting installation uses four 15W LED strips:
4 × 15W = 60W total load.
Select a compatible power supply with appropriate spare capacity in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. Do not exceed its rated output.
Can I use a 12V power supply with a 24V LED strip?
No. A 12V supply does not provide the specified operating voltage for a 24V strip. Using an incorrect supply can cause the product to malfunction or fail.
Always match the output voltage to the LED product's specifications.
Should I choose an indoor or outdoor power supply?
Use an indoor power supply only in a dry, protected location. For outdoor, damp or exposed installations, select a power supply with an appropriate environmental and IP rating.
