Should I choose back-lit or edge-lit LED modules?
Back-lit modules illuminate from behind the sign face and are commonly used for channel letters and lightboxes. Edge-lit modules direct light across the panel and are better suited to shallow or edge-lit applications. Check the product specifications and sign depth before ordering.
How many LED modules do I need?
The quantity depends on the sign size, depth, face material, required brightness and module spacing. A lighting test is recommended before completing a large installation.
Which power supply should I use?
Match the power supply voltage to the LED module voltage and calculate the total wattage of all connected modules. The power supply must provide sufficient capacity for the complete installation.
Can LED modules be used outdoors?
Only use a module outdoors when its stated IP rating and specifications are suitable for the installation environment. Waterproof modules must still be installed with appropriate connections, drainage and protection.
